Rev. Fr. Llewelyn J. Troska

Pastor

Fr. Lew was born and raised in rural Northwestern Minnesota the eldest of 8 children. A lifelong Roman Catholic, he began his education for the priesthood at Crosier Seminary High School and Junior College in Onamia, MN. He graduated from St. John’s University in 1979. He entered Major Seminary at St. John’s Seminary / School of Theology, Collegeville, MN. During his Major Seminary training Fr. Lew was extensively treated for Hodgkin’s Disease. Despite the rigorous treatments and time away from priestly preparation, he was finally ordained to the Roman Catholic Presbyterate on May 31, 1986 for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Crookston, MN. After 4 years in active ministry in East Grand Forks, MN and Bemidji, MN, Fr. Lew decided to take a leave of absence in 1991 due to struggles with the church’s stance on homosexuality and marriage in the clergy, as well as the absolute authority of the hierarchy. During these years Fr. Lew has lived in Chicago, IL and Fargo, ND. His desire to serve as priest was not allowed by his diocese of origin and he pursued ministry within the Independent Catholic Church movement. For a time he was chaplain to St. Clare’s Convent, Moorhead, MN and presided at Eucharistic Liturgies for the Recovery Community within the the Eucharistic Catholic Church. Desiring to return to parish ministry God directed him to the American National Catholic Church and thus St. Odilia American National Catholic Church was formed with the help of Mr. Randy Reichert. Fr. Lew feels very blessed to be a part of the Fargo community in offering an alternative Catholic expression that is welcoming and inclusive.

Mr. Randy Reichert

Parish Administrator/Liturgy Director
randyr@stodiliafgo.org

Randy Reichert was raised in central Minnesota where he developed very early in his life a love for God and liturgical worship. From being very active in his home parish’s liturgical life, he attended Crosier Seminary High School & College.

For all of his adult life he has continued studies in liturgy, music and been employed in various parishes as choir director, liturgy & music director and parish leader. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead where he continued his religion studies and music and was a member of the Concordia Choir as well. After much discernment, he came to the conclusion that there was a need for outreach to many people who were disillusioned in their “catholic” faith and felt the Roman church was no longer able to minister to their needs. Planning the liturgies for St. Odilia American National Catholic Church, as well as leading music and other duties, Randy has come to a place where he feels God has called him to minister at this time.
